Can we Archive guides without Deleting them?

We have several part numbers we will Archive and make active again many years later. Is there a way of Archiving guides in Dozuki, so they do not pull up when the number is searched; but are able to made active again at a later date?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hey Lucie, you can accomplish this by adding the Archived Guide flag to your guides. Take a look at our guide on How to Archive a Guide.

Good Morning,

If a guide is flagged as Archived, the standard Users are still able to view the guide and potentially use it in production. Or it will cause confusion if it is still showing up and the flag is not recognized. How can a guide be made visible only to 1 team?

by

When you add the Archived Guide flag to a guide and publish a new release, standard users will not be able to see it in search results or access it directly with the URL. This overrides the guide's access control settings, so this would even happen to a public guide.

However, if you just want to make a guide visible to a single team, check out our guide on How to Make Guides Private to a User or a Team.

Hi I have two different guides with two different guides ID .One I have archived but operators can still see both guides on the line . What do i do next?

by

Hi @donnalove, you will need to publish a new release of the guide after you add the "Archived Guide" guide flag to the guide. Once released, the guide should no longer be visible to your standard users.

Please reach out to support@dozuki.com if you are experiencing any issues.
