    • Download the Dozuki OnPrem OVA.

    • Dozuki will send you email with a link to your license file and OVA package.

    • Extract the Dozuki OnPrem OVA.

    • When extracting the OVA, you will be prompted to enter a password. Use the OnPrem password supplied by the Dozuki team.

  1. Log in to ESXi on your server.

  2. Click on the Virtual Machines icon in the sidebar menu.

    • Click on the Create/Register VM icon in Virtual Machines window.

  3. Click on Deploy a virtual machine from OVF or OVA file in the New virtual machine menu. Click the Next button. Click on the file window to browse for the OVA file or drag the file to the center of the window.

    • Click the Next button.

    • Click the Next button to cycle through the default settings.

    • Click the Finish button to deploy the virtual machine.

    • Do not refresh your browser window until the virtual machine is completely deployed.

  4. Click Virtual Machines in the VMware Host Client inventory. Right-click on a virtual machine in the list and select Edit settings from the pop-up menu.

    • The Edit Settings window will open with with the Virtual Hardware tab selected.

    • On the Virtual Hardware tab, click on the Add hard disk icon.

    • Select New standard hard disk from the dropdown menu.

  5. Expand the details for your new Hard disk. In the expanded options section, select a hard disk size of 500 GB or more. Dozuki recommends using a hard disk size of 1 TB or more. By default, choose "Thin Provisioned" for Disk Provisioning (unless your IT team has a different preference)

    • Under Controller Location, Select SATA Controller 0 and location of SATA 0:2

    • Click Save.

    • Click the Power on button to boot the virtual machine.

  6. Click the Console button at the top left of the window. Select Open browser console from the dropdown menu. VMWARE will launch a console modal in the middle of the window.

  7. Use the option + arrow keys to toggle between diagnostic screens in the console.

    • Note that after you successfully power on the machine, you should see the following message on one of the console's diagnostic screens:

    • Initial Volume Format Complete!

    • Please Reboot the system now!

    • Now, restart the virtual machine.

    • Use the left arrow to select Configure Networking.

    • Hit the Enter key.

    • Hit the Enter key again to select Yes.

  9. Hit the enter key to select Edit a connection. In the network configuration screen, use the arrow keys to select the connection that you want to edit.
    • Hit the enter key to select Edit a connection.

  10. Use the arrow keys to highlight the IPv4 or IPv6 configuration that you want to edit. Hit the enter key to edit the configuration. Enter the appropriate IP address, gateway, and DNS server information for the connection.

    • Hit the enter key to edit the configuration.

    • Enter the appropriate IP address, gateway, and DNS server information for the connection.

    • Use the arrow keys to select OK at the bottom of the window.

    • Hit the enter key to confirm your changes.

    • Hit the enter key to leave the network configuration settings.

  11. Use the option + arrow keys to toggle between diagnostic screens in the admin console.

    • Toggle to the network interface diagnostics screen for the virtual machine.

    • Under the ens192 section, copy the inet IP address for the virtual machine.

    • Navigate to the IT Management Console at the inet IP address for the virtual machine at port 8800.

  12. In the IT Management Console, click on the Choose license button. Select the supplied license file. The console will display the progress as the system uploads and validates the license file. Once the license validates, the IT Management Dashboard will load.

    • Navigate to the Dozuki application using the IP address for the virtual machine at.
