I would like to make one one of my prerequisite guides optional. For example, one of my documents has several setup instructions as prerequisite guides. The last prerequisite guide is a verification of the previous steps using a testing routine. How can I mark that last prerequisite guide and its steps as Optional, without modifying the prerequisite guide?

Hi Brad, the tool to duplicate a guide is now active on your site. You can access the tool by going to /manage and then content. When you click on the content link you will see a new tab titled Guide Duplicator.

There are a couple of ways to do this, depending on your needs:
You can utilize the container document's introduction to notify users which prerequisite guides are optional and which are mandatory.
You can adjust the testing routine guide itself to say "optional" however you like.
If you need to use the same testing routine guide as a mandatory prerequisite sometimes, and an optional prerequisite at other times, you can clone the guide and make one mandatory and one optional guide to use as you like.

The duplicator tool is available in your user menu and it is simple to use. It seems like you are making use of the prerequisite tool, so the option to duplicate a guide with Inline Prerequisite Guides might prove useful later. Here is the link:
