Hi, thanks for the answer. I wonder how many people are put off by what may come across as a lack of transparency. Perhaps a few examples showing a range of what you get for your money would be possible.

Cheers, Mark

Hi Mark, we have definitely heard this line of thinking before. However, most of the people we talk to are interested in getting a definite cost for their implementation – instead of a rough range. It's certainly something we will consider developing – thanks for your feedback!

I'd have to concur with Mark, I really dislike companies who can't give ball park pricing for their scenarios. Unless I'm really excited by a product, I'll usually skips right by companies who don't list pricing in favor of those who do while I'm in the investigation phase of finding a solution that will work for my company.

My first impression regarding your stealth pricing is negative. I don't want to call someone- I can handle a level of complexity in pricing- ranges and estimates would be helpful.

We have a hard enough time getting our management team to even consider the possibility of new approaches to anything. I finally have them considering alternatives to "doc"s (not even docx). But, I'm not even going to present Dozuki as an alternative *precisely because I can't give a ballpark comparison*. I'm not taking a chance on any hidden-price "sales" team doing the responsible thing; I've simply seen too many hidden-price companies that continue to interact with their clients in under-handed ways.

Thank you all for your feedback - it's extremely valuable to us. Because of your responses, we're looking at making some changes to our site to explain our basic pricing model.

In the past, we haven't published complete pricing for Dozuki because nearly all of our customers' needs are very diverse. However, our platform is modular and with that comes a high degree of flexibility (and variability in cost), as we are able to curate a specific package to fit your specific needs.

If you'd like to chat more about your specific needs we'd be happy to walk through the pricing plan that would make most sense for your company.

You can always reach us directly at (805) 316-0880.

In agreement here also, Dozuki popped into my head today as a possibility for specifications authoring instead of Word documents. I'd like to have been able to at least ballpark the pricing so I could make the suggestion to folks who control budget. I'm far too used to being plagued by sales people when I handover a phone number so I skip over.

I don't even see anything which talks about the pricing structure i.e. Is it licensed on a per user (editor?), instance or site basis, are there recurring maintenance contracts and so on. I can see the Dozuki side where they may deal with large corporates and so this is typical enough of vendor relationships but for the smaller outfits; upfront cost information is important.

Thanks for the feedback, James! I would be more than happy to discuss pricing with you after we know what your requirements are.

To give you a rough idea, we charge a base site license fee and a user license fee for all packages. Both of these fees vary tremendously depending on the features and number of users included with your package.

We offer very flexible terms. You can choose to pay month-to-month or pay upfront for a multi-month or annual license. We don't charge setup or maintenance fees.

It would be better if there was more transparency for a base price.

Some might think they could set up a service like this for maybe 20 bucks or less a month but you guys may not have a pricing structure less than 50 bucks or 100 bucks so how is one supposed to know if this service is affordable if you simply ask people to contact you first. Cant you list a base price for people to get some starting point...

Thank you for your feedback Richard. In the near future, we're going to be updating our site to explain our basic pricing model, as well as give an example of a typical customer's starting monthly cost and benefits.

I was looking for information on Dozuki pricing and see that even though this comment was from 2013, there's still no update and no changes to the site that explains this. Oh well, I guess there's alternatives out there.

Most companies that don't list cloud-service pricing start at $500-1500/year, so if it's less it would be helpful to list. If it's more, I guess continue as you are.

Hi Brandon, we offer a single user site license starting at $99/month. If you are interested in talking with one of our representatives about your requirements please reach out to us at sales@dozuki.com.

Thanks!

I'm on the same page as all the rest of the people here. I am on the board of a very budget-conscious non-profit, we are looking for some documentation for our new website. Instead of ripping out the same-o Word doc-style manuals, I thought of your product which I stumbled across a few weeks ago. Your stuff looks good. But I won't even bring it up as a consideration unless we have some idea of the pricing structure. I am too busy with my real job and my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd volunteer jobs for a sales pitch, and the subsequent nagging. How can this be too complex to put a guestimator on the website?

Fields like number of documents, number of pages, type of business (in case you give non-profits a break, for example, like you do open sources), number of people you'd expect to be accessing the documents at any given time. etc etc and then spit out a price range that's fuzzy enough that your salespeople can talk their way around. C'mon, we're not stupid here.

And obviously, none of us wants to get on someone's sales call list unless we're serious about the project.
