Are we supposed to get emails when users comment?

I have not been getting any email alerts for quite some time now. It didn't bother me since I use RSS all the time but now I'm noticing that my RSS is not picking up comments and only new questions / answers.

With RSS not picking it up and me not getting emails I'm left in the dark to my users and I'm not able to provide the amazing service.

Yes, I made sure my email preferences were set correctly.

You should be receiving a daily email summarizing the comments on any guides or Answers posts that you're 'Watching'. We're looking into this, as it sounds like a bug.

Re: RSS - When I look at your site's Answers index RSS feed, I see that new comments are still bumping older posts to the top of the feed (ex: FuelGuages: will my fuel guages acct still work?"), as they have been in the past. Do you see otherwise?

Taylor, I didn't even get an email updating me that you commented on this question. I thought maybe they were going to my junk folder but they are not. Yes, I checked my email settings on this site as well.

I'm using Google Reader and It misses some I think.

We're currently working on a fix for the bug with Comment Emails not being sent. I hope to have the fix live with our weekly code deployment near the end of this week. Re: RSS - If you could show me an example of a post that was commented on but was not bumped to the top of the list, it would help us greatly in tracking down that issue. Do you have an example that you could show me?

A sample of the RSS Comment not showing up on my Google Reader: http://solutions.letstruck.com/Answers/V.... This was commented on 10 hours ago and did not show up at all in my RSS reader. Still it could be my reader but please let me know.

I'm thinking that it may just be a delay in your RSS reader, since as soon as I checked your RSS feed 14 hours ago, the post was there where I would expect it to be. If you still have problems with a lack of updates on the RSS feed, give Eric a call, and let's look at this in real time together on the phone to get the issue resolved.
