As visitors hit our website, we would like them to see specific categories and guides first, to introduce them to the site and the concepts. Unfortunately, we can't do that yet. Anytime soon? Thanks!

The feature to allow you to change the display ordering of your categories will likely be completed in August - September. Although it may not seem like it, the framework changes required to allow custom ordering of guides is actually substantially more complicated. I don't have an exact date, but once we finish allowing you to re-order your categories, we'll start work on allowing you to re-order your guides.

It's now October. Is the feature allowing category reordering available?
My apologies about the delay - my estimated time range of August to September was rough, and a bit off. The re-ordering of Categories project hinged on the completion of a new and improved category page layout. This project, in turn hinged on completing an overhaul on our image uploader, in order to support new image aspect ratios, as well as the backend of video upload support. These few major projects should provide a substantial improvement in both how content creators and viewers use Dozuki. The three projects are all very near to completion; each just needs some final touches, then they will be deployed in rapid succession, in order. You should look for an update to the image uploader as early as two weeks from now.

Hi Dan, it's going very well. There's been a lot of edge cases that we've needed to take care of, but we're onto our (hopefully) final stretch of testing before the feature is released. I'm going to put out a set of Release Notes tomorrow afternoon about what we've been doing lately to bring everyone up to date.
Looks like Dozuki now offers Category reordering. How do I implement it for my website? Thanks!

Hi Dan! You don't need to do anything to implement the category reordering feature. Once you navigate to your category manager you will be able to drag your categories around into any order that you would like. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

this is really helpful info but it was difficult to find. I'll try adding it to the categories page.

I just found the help guide Reordering Categories. for some reason it was low in the search results though. If this info can be added to the category help page as well that may help people know about it better.
Nearly six months later..............no fix! :-(

Due to some unforeseen back-end constraints, we wound up needing to wait on releasing the new category layouts (including re-arranging of categories) until video has been released, which as I'm sure you saw happened just a few weeks ago. These constraints were a mistake on our part, and have caused the project to take far longer to release than any of us would like. We're doing our best to make sure that such constraints don't come up again. The good news is that the new coding work for category layouts is finished, and we are going through final testing, including trials internally and with customers. I'm expecting to release the new layouts either this Thursday (4/11), or next Thursday, 4/18.
