Introduction

This guide demonstrates how to change the category that a guide is listed in.

After creating a guide in a particular category, you may decide to change its listing and place it in a different category. No problem, just edit the guide and select a new category from the drop-down list of categories.

Reminder

Any changes made to a guide, with the exception of tags and the default language, create a new draft of the guide.

  1. Open the guide to change its category.
    • Open the guide to change its category.

    • Click on the Edit button on the top-right side of the page, just beneath the site header.

  2. To assign the guide a new category, type in the name of the new category in the field beneath Location (Category Name). Choose from the list of Category pages on your site. If you want to move the guide to a category that does not exist, select Create a new Category from the drop-down.

This does not work for me. If I change the Location (Category Name) field and save, the change persists when I leave then return to the guide edit. The return arrow at the top reflects the new category as well. The guide does not show up in the new category, however, and it still shows in the old category.

Hi @kevinhart, if your site is using version control, you will also need to publish the draft of the guide for the change to finalize. If you’re still having difficulties, feel free to reach out to us at support@dozuki.com and we can help troubleshoot further.
